Previous lesson is about "Basic" asking direction and buying thing at the department store.
Today, you will learn some more about asking & telling direction.
There are also few practice questions for you to do.

*Koko: Here [This place] | Uketsuke: Reception desk | Jimusho: Office

おてあらいは どこですか。
あそこです。
Otearai wa doko desuka?
Asoko desu.
Where is the restroom?
It's over there.
*Otearai: Restroom/ Toilet | Doko: Where | Asoko: That place [Over there]
Another word to say Toilet in Japanese is Toire [which written in Katakana トイレ], comes directly from the English word “Toilet”.

しょくどうは どちらですか。
あちらです。
Shokudou wa dochira desuka?
Achira desu.
Which way is the dining hall?
That way.
*Shokudou: Dining Hall/ Canteen | Dochira: Which way [polite of "doko"] | Achira: That way [polite of "asoko"]

ねこさんは どこですか。
へやです。
Neko San wa doko desuka?
Heya desu.
Where is Ms/Mr Neko?
[He/she] is in the room.

日本の とけいです。
Sore wa doko no tokei desuka?
Nihon no tokei desu.

Is Japan.
*Sore: That [Thing near you] | Tokei: Watch

27、000えん[円]です。
Kono kamera wa ikura desuka?
27, 000en [ni-man nana-sen en] desu.
How much is this camera?
Is 27, 000en.
*Kono: This [here] | Kamera: Camera | Ikura: How much | Ni-man: 20 000 | Nana-sen: 7 000 | En: Japan currency ¥

Notes:
Since lesson one, you noticed there are no "question mark" use when asking question [Japanese character]. How to know if it is a question? The word "ka" at the end of sentence means that it is a question.
この カメラ は いくらですか。- Kono kamera wa ikura desuka.
But in some cases, question mark is used ~

DeleteHi Rose, no you do not need another keyboard to type in Japanese Character or any other language.
ReplyDeleteIf you are using Windows, you can just enable the input language _ here for more info on how to TYPE IN CHARACTER LANG. Or you can just type online, you can google Japanese keyboard. I'm sure it's many out there. Hope this help. ♡(^∀^ჱ)

b) Kyoshitsu wa doko desuka.
c) Kono tokei wa Ikura desuka.

b) Kyoshitsu wa dochira desuka. But either way, is okay.
c) Kono [this]/ Sono [that] tokei wa Ikura desuka.
Both also okay, depending where you are at when asking.
