Basic Japanese Lesson #5  



Hello everyone!
Today's lesson is very interesting as we
will learn Basic asking and telling times.
If you simply want to learn basic Japanese,
then here is the perfect place for you.

So, let's get started!

Japanese | Furigana
ネコ:にほんごの べんきょうわ なんじからですか。
ウサギ:9じからです。
ネコ:なんじまでですか。
ウサギ:12じまでです。
ネコ:そうですか。 きょうのごごわ なんですか。
ウサギ:こうぎです。
ネコ:なんじに おわりますか。
ウサギ:5じに おわります。
ネコ:まいにち たいへんですね。

Romaji
Neko: Nihon-go no benkyou wa nanjikara desu ka.
Usagi: 9-Ji [Ku-ji] karadesu.
Neko:Nanjimade desu ka.
Usagi:12-Ji [Juni-ji] made desu.
Neko:Sou desu ka. Kyou no gogo wa nan desu ka.
Usagi:Kougi desu.
Neko:Nanji ni owarimasu ka.
Usagi:5-Ji [Go-ji] ni owarimasu.
Neko:Mainichi taihen desu ne.

English
Neko:From what time is Japanese Study?
Usagi:From 9 o'clock.
Neko:Until what time is it?
Usagi:Until 12 o'clock.
Neko:I see. Today's afternoon, what is it?
Usagi:[Is] Lecture.
Neko:What time does it finish?
Usagi:Finish at 5 o'clock.
Neko:Everyday must be hard for you.


Meaning:
~Kara - From ~
~Made - Up to ~, Until~
nan-ji - What time
Kyo - Today
Gogo - P.m, Afternoon

Nihon-go - Japanese Language
Benkyou - Study
Kougi - Lecture
Sou desu ka - I see [Making agreeable response]
Owarimasu - Finish
Mainichi - Everyday
Taihen desu ne - It must be hard for you. [When expressing appreciation/sympathy]

**You can practice and change the words such as Study to work - bed time - and many more.
It would be helpful if you have a Jap - Eng dictionary.
